This "threat" to the federation contains some of it's most dedicated, active and hard working members. While only 18% of the members may be on or have access to this list I would estimate over half of the most dedicated members are on here. Those who are not either dislike email or have no access to it. Are they here by accident? Are members incapable of making their own minds up?

My guess is that the agenda item came up yet again from someone who is not on this list. Someone who has acted through their own fears and ingnorance and used that of others to justify it.

Everyone on this list - that includes the vast
majority of national officers, area officials and those who are the core of this federation at group level - has the same oportuntiy to write whatever they feel to this list.

That's the benifit of free speech. My family fought hard for that basic human right and I am not about to bow to some un-named indiviuals and others who without the any decency choise to railroad this decision through without a mention to those concerned.

National's message to the volunteers who try to help is "sod you", "you will obay"! This federation is about members not national. It's members and the groups they belong to that they should be considering not their own sesitivities, fears or biased opinions.

NEC decsions should not be taken on the spur of the moment or without consulting those it concerns. That goes as much for myself as all on this list.

It is inevitable that those prepared to speak out will ruffle feathers, as Jarrett and others have obviously done on the 18plus list. You need members opinions and that's all I have read.

Censor Free 18plus!

Vote YES to a censor free list -

1. It has brought the ability to communicate and offer ideas and opinions (whether you agree with them or not)on various subjects such as how 18 Plus Events could be run.
2. It has also enabled people in groups to discuss problems with other people in the federation instead of suffering in silence.
3. It has enabled groups to advertise their events both cheaper and quicker as well as offer members the chance to offer their opinions on how those events went (and perhaps how they could be improved).
4. It has also enabled members to enjoy a joke or two over the Internet.
